You were invited
Someone invited you to their kanman workspace: what the email means, how to join in a minute, and what to do if the link no longer works.
A colleague invited you to their workspace in kanman. kanman is the AI teammate of that workspace: it writes stories, builds them in your company’s repositories, checks them and tells you when it needs you. You talk to it like you would to anyone on the team.
The email
The email comes from your colleague, sent by kanman (“Marco via kanman”). It says:
- who invited you and to which workspace,
- your role in plain words, for example “as an admin: you can set up teams and change settings”,
- the teams you will follow, and a personal note if your colleague wrote one,
- until when the invitation is valid (14 days).
If you have questions first, simply reply: the answer goes to the person who invited you. Not for you? Ignore the email. Nothing happens without a click.
Join in a minute
- Press Accept the invitation in the email (or copy the link into your browser).
- The page shows the invitation again: who, which workspace, your role and teams. Opening the page does not do anything yet, so it is safe if your company’s mail filter checks the link first.
- Check your name (kanman suggests it from your address) and choose a password.
- Press Join and the workspace’s name, for example Join VIER.
The workspace opens, you are in with the role and the teams chosen for you, and kanman greets you in the conversation.
The page speaks the language your colleague chose for the invitation. You can change the language later in your settings.
kanman greets you
Right after joining, the workspace opens in your conversation with kanman, and kanman speaks first, by name and in your language: who invited you and with which role, and what kanman does. No questions to answer, no form to fill in.
Under the greeting, What the teams do shows every team of the workspace: what it is working towards, how independently kanman works there, by the name of the team’s policy and in plain words (for example “Autonomous · works on its own” or “Balanced · asks before plans and risky merges”) and what it delivered this week. The teams your colleague chose for you say You follow it; Follow adds another one, Open shows the team.
Three next steps sit at the end of the card:
- Give me an overview of …: kanman tells you what that team is doing right now.
- Set up my own team: the team setup, if your role allows it. Otherwise kanman tells you who sets up teams in this workspace.
- Connect Claude Code: use kanman from Claude Code on your machine.
You already use kanman

- Signed out, but the address already has a kanman account: choose Sign in on the page. After signing in you come back to the invitation and press Join.
When the link does not work
| The page says | What to do |
|---|---|
| The invitation has expired | Press Ask … for a new invitation. Your colleague is told in kanman and can send you a new one. |
| A newer invitation replaced this link | Your colleague sent the invitation again. Use the link in the newest email. |
| The invitation was withdrawn | Your colleague withdrew it. If that looks like a mistake, reply to the email. |
| You already joined | Sign in as usual. |
| The link does not lead to an invitation | The link may be incomplete. Open it again from the email, or ask for a new one. |
