Install kanman on your phone

kanman runs in the browser, and you can install it like an app. The installed app opens from your home screen, dock or start menu in its own window, without address bar and tabs, and it stays signed in like the browser does. There is nothing to download from an app store.

Find the install option

1. Click your avatar at the top right and choose Your settings.
2. Open Look and feel (/account/look).
3. Find Install app in the Appearance card.

kanman never interrupts you with an install pop-up. The option waits here until you want it. It shows only where your browser can install kanman; once kanman is installed, it goes away.

Android and desktop (Chrome, Edge)

When your browser can install kanman, the Install app row shows an Install kanman button.

1. Tap or click Install kanman.
2. Confirm in the dialog of your browser.

kanman then appears on your home screen or in your app list. If the row is not there, your browser has not offered the installation for this page. Open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen.

iPhone and iPad (Safari)

Safari installs apps through the share menu. The Install app row shows these steps:

1. Tap Share in the Safari toolbar.
2. Choose Add to Home Screen.
3. Tap Add.

After installing

• Open kanman from its icon. Right after installing, the Install app row says that kanman is installed on this device.
• Long-press the icon on Android to jump straight to Ask kanman or Decisions.
• Turn on notifications to hear from kanman when something needs you, also on iPhone and iPad; see Push notifications.
• The app follows your light or dark setting, including the colour of the status bar.
• Without a connection, kanman shows a short offline notice and opens again by itself as soon as the device is back online.

Vibration

On phones that support it (most Android phones), kanman can vibrate briefly when it confirms something you did, for example when your answer to a decision is saved. Turn it on or off under Look and feel > Vibrate on confirmations. The setting applies to this device only. kanman never vibrates when reduced motion is on, see Look and feel. iPhones do not offer vibration to web apps, so the switch is not available there.

Remove the app

Remove kanman like any other app: long-press its icon and choose Remove or Uninstall. Your account, teams and settings stay as they are, and you can keep using kanman in the browser.
