Tour of the app
A short tour of the four places in kanman: Teams, Decisions, Audit and Settings, and the pages inside a team.
kanman keeps its surface small. The navigation has exactly four entries, and everything else lives inside a team. This tour shows where to find what.
The navigation
| Entry | What you find there | Who sees it |
|---|---|---|
| Teams | All AI teams of the workspace, and New team | Everyone |
| Decisions | Everything kanman needs a human for. The badge shows how many are open. | Everyone |
| Audit | Every policy check, approval, run state change and tracker write | Admins (members see it disabled) |
| Settings | Workspace settings: members, billing, connections, API, webhooks | Everyone; most tabs are admin only |
On phones the same four entries sit in the tab bar at the bottom of the screen.
Teams
Teams lists every team with its wallpaper, icon, name and the number of active runs. Click a team to open its page.
The team page
The team page is a lean board that mirrors your tracker, with your columns and their roles: Backlog, Refining, Ready, In progress, Review and Done. Cards show the story key, the title, the readiness and size and the latest run. Drag a card to another column, or use Move to on the card with the keyboard or on a touch screen.
The header shows:
- the team name, icon and wallpaper
- Ready, N runs (or Paused, N runs): whether the team picks up new work, and how many runs are in flight
- the policy badge, for example Trial or Custom (based on Balanced)
- New intake and Personalize (wallpaper and icon)
- a health line when something needs attention, for example “1 run parked for repeated gate failure”

Story page
Click a card to open the story (/teams/<team>/stories/<KEY>): acceptance criteria with their status, the Demonstrate block, the test plan, the readiness checks, the state of the acceptance spec (not written yet, written, red, green or needs a fix) and every run of the story.
Run page
The run page (/teams/<team>/runs/<run-key>) is where you follow the work:
- a timeline of the stages Planning, Implementing, Verifying, Review and Done, with live progress lines
- each attempt and, after a rework, why the earlier one failed
- the evidence pack once verification is done
- the pull request link and a cost meter against the run budget
- the actions Stop, Retry and Open decision
Decisions
Decisions is the one inbox for everything that needs a person: plan approvals, policy exceptions, questions, budget stops, failed verifications, merge approvals and more. It has the tabs Pending and Resolved; new team reports are shown above them. Each item shows kanman’s reasoning, its recommendation and 2 to 4 options. Answer in the app, or in Slack once it is connected. See Decisions.
Audit
Audit lists every recorded event, newest first, with filters for team, run, actor, event type and time range. Export the entries you see as CSV or JSON. See Audit export format.
Settings
Workspace settings are path-based tabs (/settings/<tab>):
